Glencoe was abuzz with the DunGlen family fun day. They spent Women’s Day with family and friends at the SAVF home for the aged. They encouraged guests to take part in their Princess Project which collects sanitary pads for girls from underprivileged schools.

It was a celebration of health and wellness at the Hilton Health and Wellness Centre. They held an open day to introduce their medical professionals to the community. There are a variety of professionals who call the centre home. They kicked off the day with a trail run, cycle race and a ballet rip class.

A treat for the old folks

Juana Maria Old Age Home in Ladysmith held their annual fête at the home. As usual, the grounds swarmed with community members. Before lunch time, the fête was sold out. There were homemade goodies, curry and rice, pancakes, fruits, books and so much more.

Berg Show fun

The annual Berg Show is not your average fête, it’s much more than that. At the Winterton Country Club, an impressive collection of agricultural equipment got farmers excited and the rest amazed. With live performances, competitions and a craft market, this show definitely had something to offer everyone.

Winter knights

As part of the Newcastle Round Table Ncandu 86 annual winter knights campaign, they hosted a fund-raiser at Elo’s Pub and grill in conjunction with the team at Mortimer Toyota Newcastle. Thanks to the support from the community, they managed to collect blankets, warm clothing, shoes and cash to the benefit of the poor and needy. While people opened their hearts to those in need, they were entertained by a live performance by Newcastle’s own November Bloom. It was a hugely successful evening enjoyed by all.
