Moths and friends gathered at Siegetown Moth Hall in Ladysmith to commemorate the fallen at the battle of El Alamein. This annual event kicked off with a parade, followed by a three-course meal. Moths and friends had a wonderful evening dancing the night away.

A celebration of history

It was a celebration of history at this year’s Talana Live. From ghost walks, soldiers parading through the main street to vintage cars and heritage games, it was a weekend packed with entertainment. The weekend ended with a gun run up Talana hill, testing the teams to their limits.

Camp World Newcastle celebrated the completion of their new showroom with an open day. Customers and friends came together to enjoy wonderful specials and random lucky draw prizes. It was a festive atmosphere with a brand new era for campers in Northern KZN.

The Dundee NG Church held a fabulous celebration to commemorate their 100 years. With dinners and a bazaar, the community celebrated with the church. The different denominations came together on the Sunday for a joint service.

Lovable pooches

Ladysmith animal lovers got together at Agar Field for the annual Dog-a-thon. Dogs and their owners went for a long walk before returning to the field for prize-giving. People were eager to support this Animal Anti-Cruelty fund-raiser. There were even two little lambs who came for a walk.

South African National Schools Shooters Union hosted their annual National Championships at the Newcastle Show Grounds. More than 1000 visitors came to Newcastle during the competition. A gala dinner marked the start of this prestigious event.

Despite howling winds and downpours, the Dam Jam Music Festival was the place to be. Glendee Yacht Club came alive with eager festival goers enjoying live performances by local artists. Braai fires roared while people danced. Some set up camp for the night.
